Jackleg Cabins For Sale
Refurbished jackleg cabins — portable site offices, welfare units and toilet blocks built on adjustable jackleg chassis that level on almost any ground. Sold outright and delivered UK-wide on our own HIAB fleet.

What is a jackleg cabin?
A jackleg cabin is a portable site cabin built on a steel chassis with adjustable legs — the jacklegs — at each corner. They let you level the unit on sloping or uneven ground without pouring a base, which makes jackleg cabins the standard choice on construction sites where speed and flexibility matter.
Offices, welfare and toilet units
We refurbish jackleg cabins as site offices, canteens, drying rooms, welfare units and toilet blocks, in a range of lengths from compact 10ft units up to 32ft. Anti-vandal steel versions are available for exposed or unsecured sites.
Jackleg or skid base?
The two you will come across are jacklegs and skid-base units. A skid base sits flat on the ground and needs level hardstanding or sleepers under it to sit true. The adjustable legs do that job for you: wind each corner up or down until the unit is square, and the doors and windows sit right first time. On a sloping compound, or ground that moves after a wet spell, that adjustment is the difference between a door that shuts and one that does not.
The legs also lift the floor clear of standing water and make it far quicker to get straps and forks underneath when the unit is moved on to the next job. Most contractors who buy one of these end up specifying the same thing next time round.
What to check before you buy
Look at the chassis and the feet first — that is where age shows. Then the roof and the seams around the windows, the state of the flooring where the door swings, and whether the electrics have been tested and certified. Every unit we sell has been through our own workshops and is checked on all four counts before it goes on the site, and we will tell you plainly what has been replaced and what is simply sound.
Refurbished, sold outright and delivered
Every one is refurbished in our own Manchester workshops, then sold to buy rather than hire — so you own it with no ongoing costs. We deliver and position units across the UK on our own HIAB fleet. Send us your postcode for a delivered price.
